Role Overview
We are seeking a strategic, creative, and astute communicator who is both an engagement practitioner and a change agent to shape and amplify the Group Operations senior management narrative. This role operates at scale and complexity, translating ambition into resonant, human-centred stories that inspire, engage, and mobilise a large and diverse organisation.
The role integrates leadership storytelling, employee engagement, marketing, and innovation, working closely with senior leaders and cross-functional teams to bring clarity and creativity to complex operational, technological, and AI-driven initiatives. As a trusted partner and catalyst for change, you will drive communications and engagement strategies that cut through the noise, build belief, and deliver meaningful outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Lead with AI-First Creativity
- Champion the integration of AI into the creative and communications process, beyond basic tool usage.
- Leverage AI for content ideation, personalisation, predictive analytics, campaign optimisation, and rapid prototyping.
- Experiment with and demonstrate innovative, future-forward communication approaches.
Shape Leadership Narratives
- Partner with Group Operations senior leaders to craft clear, confident, and compelling leadership scripts, presentations, and decks.
- Translate complex operational, technology, and AI concepts into accessible narratives that build trust and understanding.
- Design and deliver integrated communications strategies aligned with business priorities and leadership intent.
Create Employee Engagement at Scale
- Produce high-quality content for employee townhalls, leadership conferences, and flagship internal events.
- Design and execute marketing-led engagement campaigns that energise, connect, and activate employees.
- Creatively showcase leaders, innovations, and world-class initiatives to strengthen pride and visibility across Group Operations.
- Use employee insights and feedback to explore new engagement models and scalable delivery approaches.
Be a Trusted Partner & Brand Guardian
- Strengthen the team’s value proposition through content governance, ensuring consistency, clarity, and quality.
- Build trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders across functions and disciplines.
- Manage multiple priorities and tight timelines with sound judgement, agility, and resilience.
Measure, Learn, and Elevate
- Track, assess, and report on the effectiveness of communications, campaigns, and events using analytics and insights.
- Apply data-driven learnings to refine messaging, channels, and engagement strategies for greater impact.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, Marketing, Journalism, Public Relations, Business, or any related discipline.
- Minimum 6–9 years of professional experience across corporate communications, marketing communications, Public Relations, journalism, social media, or related fields.
- Leadership communications experience, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders while remaining hands-on.
- Proven track record in employee engagement, campaigns, and large-scale events, gained from Public Relations agencies, event organisations, engagement consultancies, or in-house teams.
- Highly employee-centric, with empathy for how people experience change, leadership, and culture.
- Multitasker able to work under pressure, manage competing priorities, and deliver against tight timelines.
- High proficiency in Microsoft O365, particularly PowerPoint and visual storytelling.
- Hands-on experience with Generative AI tools such as Canva, ChatGPT, Gemini, NotebookLM, or similar platforms.
- Interest in technology, AI, and banking operations, with the ability to translate innovation into meaningful stories.
